Yes, it is slow. But I’m learning daily bits’n’bobs. Probably not ideal the way to learn, but it’s the best I have at the moment. Today I am concious that I have learnt:
mon pauvre – literally, “my poor” but probably better translated as “poor you”
tout à fait – a phrase for agreement, “completely”, “absolutely” or ‘”indeed”.
épouvantable – horrendous / appauling.
tais toi / moins fort – be quiet (politely but direct)
tu peux te taire s’il te plait – can you please be quiet
I am also working through a grammar book and plan later to explain some of the grammar I have leant by extending this blog with some examples.
