This weekend I’ve given my credentials as a nocturnal maniac-obsessive to the absolute test. Not entirely sure why I’ve chosen this weekend but so far I have slept zero hours of the night and only about five hours over two days during the day.
Sure – That all sounds a little dire – but it works:-
- I’ve caught up on all the worlds news, reorganised much of my life through some new and innovative web based applications and exploited that new level of hyper-organisation to conduct a very thorough job search and short-listing compilation project (Approx. 30 hours work over Friday – Saturday) stretching from here to London.
I’ve also eaten my three square meals; all entirely healthy, done some exercise, been out for a long walk (in the rain) and kept up to date with family and friends in the meantime.
The conclusion: If only I could get a ‘proper’ job working during the nights and perhaps afternoons too, I would be super-productive and ludicrously efficient. Of course another advantage is that there is no wine in this house – that might well have been a downfall… the almost complete lack of alcohol has surely helped spur my creativity. I really am considering going teetotal… by the way.
