Ha, I used to think London was dauntingly huge – far too big to cycle around comfortably. This isn’t so though. I proved this today (again) by cycling from my house, to my gym (for an hour’s swimming), the Central London for a drink, to South East London for (sort-of) dinner plus an errand and back. I made 23.2 miles and it was perfectly manageable.
I’m unsure quite how long this took but I’m quite sure it would have taken twice or three times as long via public transport. Thankfully the weather held for me as this has been the only sticking point of late whilst cycling.
Also worked out that getting to and from work each day is 5.7miles.
